Court Denies Fubara’s Loyalists Bail over Terrorism Charges

Five loyalists of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, have been denied bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja for invading, vandalizing, and burning down the Rivers Assembly Complex.

Among the loyalists are Chime Eguma Ezebalike, Prince Lukman Oladele, Kenneth Goodluck Kpasa, Osiga Donald, and Ochueja Thank God.

According to the Inspector General of Police, they are charged with seven counts of terrorism.

As a result of the political crisis that rocked the State in October 2023, the defendants invaded the House of Assembly complex to frustrate attempts to impeach the governor.
