The Special Fraud Unit, SFU, of the Nigeria Police has arraigned some suspected fraudster who defrauded Galaxy TV the sum of over sixteen million naira through Access, GTB and UBA Cheque before a Special Offences Court, in Ikeja.
The suspects who are Fasan Bolanle, Nwosu Bernard, Oshin Omolara and Judith Ehiwario were arraigned on a seven counts charge before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo led Court.
Arraigning the suspects, the head legal team of the SFU, Mr Emmanuel Jackson told the court that the Police having concluded investigation has five witnesses and several documents to proof the allegations against the defendants
He urged the court to take the plea of the defendants.

Fasan Bolanle was arraigned on a seven counts charge, Nwosu Bernard was arraigned on three counts charge, while Oshin Omolara and Judith Ehiwario were arraigned on a count charge levelled against them.
The offences they all pleaded not guilty to and subsequently the prosecutor asked for a date to commence trial over the allegations.
However, the defense counsels told the court that they have separately filed bail applications for their clients urging court to grant them bail in a liberal terms.
The defense counsels who are Mrs. Nimota Raheem, Mrs Augustina Ezeugo, Mr. Ahmed Oyekunle and Mr. Opeyemi Adewoye stated that the offense is a bailable one noting that the defendant will not jump bail if granted.

The prosecuting Counsel, Mr. Emmanuel Jackson who didn’t opposed the bail applications informed the court that the defendants didn’t jump adminstrative bail granted to them by the Police during investigation.
In a ruling, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo granted the defendants bail in the sum of one million naira with two sureties each while ordering them not to travel outside the country.
Justice Taiwo however released the defendants to their counsels pending perfection of their bail providing they would guarantee their appearance at the next adjourned date.
