Aidi Congratulates Taiwo Oyedele on Appointment as Minister of State for Finance

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Bola Aidi, has congratulated Taiwo Oyedele on his appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Finance, describing the development as well deserved and a recognition of his professional competence and integrity.

In a congratulatory letter dated March 4, 2026, Aidi expressed pride over Oyedele’s elevation, noting that his experience in tax policy, public finance and institutional reform would bring innovation and discipline to Nigeria’s financial system at a critical period for the nation’s economy.

The legal practitioner also commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as his “eye for excellence,” saying the President’s decision to appoint Oyedele reflects merit and the recognition of competence in national development.

Aidi further noted that Oyedele’s appointment, alongside the role being played by Bunmi Tunji-Ojo in the current administration, marks another proud moment for the Akoko people, adding that the emergence of two accomplished sons of the area in key federal positions is encouraging for governance and economic reform.

He also congratulated the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, stating that his tenure has witnessed the emergence of three ministerial appointments from the state, a development he said reflects Ondo State’s growing relevance at the national level.

While wishing Oyedele success in office, Aidi prayed for wisdom and strength for the new minister, expressing hope that his tenure would be marked by bold fiscal reforms, stability in public finance and economic growth that would positively impact Nigerians.
