Alleged Killer Of MC Oluomo Aide To Remain In Custody Pending Legal Advice

The Police have secured a remand order from Igbosere Magistrate Court against suspected killer of Olayinka Mamora, an aide of Lagos Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, M.C. Oluomo.

According to the police, the suspect, Balogun and Evans Adamson were alleged to have killed Mamora in Oshodi while barbing at a saloon.

Filing the remand application, police prosecutor, Mr Morufu Animashaun, urged the court to remand the duo in prison custody pending the issuance of legal advice from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution DPP.

Animashaun said that attached to the application is a 12 paragraph affidavit and a petition, disposed to by one inspector Abideen Adewale, attached to the IGP Monitoring Unit, Force Headquarters Abuja.

Animashaun informed the court that during the course of investigation, three pump action guns and 10 live cartridges were recovered from the defendants criminal hideout at Mowe, Ibafo Ogun state.

In a counter response, the defendants’ lawyer, Mr Prince Adebayo, informed the court that the defendants have been in custody for the past four months over a crime they know nothing about.

After entertain submission, the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Bakare granted Police request and adjourned till December 3, for mention.
