
A Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja has issued a bench warrant against the Managing Director of Homeland and Overseas Limited, Osita Ojeah, the company and one Anthony Nwosu (still at large).
The presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, declared them wanted following their inability to appear for trial in criminal charges instituted against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The EFCC had sometimes in 2020 arraigned Osita Ojeah, the company and one Anthony Nwosu for allegedly stealing about N139 million (One Hundred and Thirty-nine Million Naira) from Virgin Forest Energy Limited.
Upon the arraignment, the matter has suffered one setback or another which has frustrated the commencement of trial.

The development made Justice Taiwo March 10, 2021, serve a note of warning that the court would not tolerate delayed antics from counsels.
At the resumed hearing, when the matter was called neither the prosecutor nor defence counsels and defendants were in court to face trial.
Subsequently, Justice Taiwo revoke the bail of the defendant, Osita Ojeah, and adjourned till April 12
