EFCC Arraign CEO of Robim Energy

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of a Special Offense Court in Ikeja has granted bail to a businessman, CEO of Robim Energy Limited, Mr. Rotimi Omowo in the sum of ten million naira and two sureties.

The judge however instructed that Mr. Omowo should remain in custody pending perfection of his bail terms.

Mr. Rotimi Omowo was arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on an allegation bordering on stealing and issuing of a dud cheque.

According to charge sheet, the defendant use his company to steal the sum of about twenty one million naira from the Managing Director of Soneck Ventures Limited, Ayo Sonekan.

And subsequently issue a Zenith Bank dud cheque of twelve million naira to the complainant.

He however pleaded not guilty to the four count charge level against him.

The EFCC Prosecutor, Samuel Daji pray for short adjourn date for commencement of trial.

The judge subsequently adjourned till January 16.
