
A former Nigerian Minister, Babatunde Fashola, has urged the government to develop infrastructure that fosters the growth of art, tourism, and talent.
Mr. Fashola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, made this call during his keynote address at the Egbe Amofin O’odua Conference in Lagos.
He emphasized that Nigeria needs inclusive and expansive growth to achieve the desired change.
Additionally, the former Governor of Lagos State encouraged members of Egbe Amofin Odua to promote dispute-resolution mechanisms among their clients and to rethink their roles as lawyers, acting as agents of development for national growth by ensuring investor confidence in the judiciary.
Mr Babatunde Fashola stressed that the potential for development growth necessitates law reforms to facilitate business operations.

Aare Isiaka Olagunju, SAN, the Chairman Governing Council of the association, stated in his welcome address that the conference is critical for re-creating and reclaiming the pride of the country.
He urged all the participants to network and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the plenary and showcase sessions with an array of seasoned speakers.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Conference, Kunle Adegoke, SAN, stressed that the group is not created to promote ethnicity or disunity, but rather to promote cultural values.
In a remark, a candidate cleared by the ECNBA to contest in July 2024 for the position of NBA 1st Vice President, Reginald Ugwuadu, MCIArb (UK) urged legal minds to interrogate the challenges facing the administration of justice and proffer solutions.
He urged participants to use their power to strengthen democracy and the rule of law.
