
EndSARS protests have grounded criminal trials in Lagos courts, as the Nigerian Correctional Service, NCS, have not brought suspects to court for fear of possible attack.
Many trials have suffered setbacks over the situation.
The prosecution and the defense lawyers who came to court have been getting new dates.
Some of the major trials that have stalled include that of the alleged kidnapper, Evans before Special Offences Court, in Ikeja and the trial of suspects who were alleged to have illegally imported firearms into the country, before Justice Ayokunle Faji of the Federal High Court, to mention few.
However, the development did not affect those who are on bail.

Although, Judge’s have raised concerns over heavy traffic in delaying their early arrival in court.
Our Judiciary correspondent, Wahab Akinlade observed that the Correctional Service Green Marias were nowhere to be found and the holding cells for keeping inmates on the court premises were empty.
Officials at the holding cells said that the NCS had not brought inmates to court since Monday last week.
