Agbowa LCDA Staff Murder: Family Demands Speedy Justice Begs Sanwo-Olu
The family of the late Idowu Keshinro, a former employee of the Agbowa Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ota Ikosi Ejinrin, is urgently calling on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to ensure that justice is served.
They fear that the legal system may fail them.
Despite the arrest of several suspects, including prominent land grabber Abubakar Suleiman Miyaki, Mukaila Salau, Tiyamiyu Ahmed, Waltu Suleimon, and Ibrahim Ekemode, the family believes that there are clandestine efforts underway to free these individuals without consequence.
The available evidence clearly links the suspects to the murder of Idowu Keshinro.
In a petition directed to Governor Sanwo-Olu, Akeem Keshinro, the deceased’s elder brother, expressed deep concerns about other suspects remaining at large who are reportedly boasting of connections with Nigeria’s Attorney General.
They claim these connections will facilitate the unconditional release of the arrested suspects at the upcoming court session scheduled for November 26.
“We assert that those still at large, along with their accomplices, are actively working to manipulate the justice system to evade accountability for their crimes,” the petition states.

Furthermore, the petition highlights that Kabiru Abubakar Sulaimon, a relative of one defendant, continues to brag that they have the political clout and financial means to influence the Attorney General to exercise his prerogative powers under the Constitution to release the suspects without penalty.
“We hold the office of the Attorney General in the highest regard and believe it should remain untarnished by corrupt influence. The reckless claims made by the mentioned individuals to subvert justice are alarming and intolerable,” the petition continues. “Our family is living in a constant state of fear and despair, and we will suffer unimaginable distress if these individuals succeed in their efforts to escape justice.”
In interviews with journalists, Akeem Keshinro revealed that he can no longer feel safe in his own home due to the threats he has faced for pursuing justice for his brother.
He now only stays home during daylight and leaves at night to protect himself.
Aslam Ibrahim, a community youth leader, recounted the chaos that unfolded on the day of the murder. “We were celebrating Easter when we were confronted with gunmen. The fear has left me unable to conduct my daily activities, and I implore the government for immediate assistance.”
Another victim, Saula Lateef, shared his harrowing experience of being assaulted by the suspects. “On Easter Day, I was attacked and severely beaten by Miyaki’s gang. I am still unable to walk as a result. It was only by the intervention of a passerby that I was spared from further harm.
We demand that Governor Sanwo-Olu ensures justice is swift and decisive, as we remain vulnerable to further attacks from these criminals.”
The family and community stand united in their call for justice, unwilling to accept anything less than accountability for the heinous acts committed against Idowu Keshinro and the safety of their community.
