The Supreme Court in Abuja has affirmed Udom Emmanuel as Governor of Akwa Ibom state.

The apex court dismissed All Progressives Congress, APC, and it’s candidate, Obong N. Ekere prayers for lack of merit.

The APC candidate Obong Nsima Ekere, had challenged the victory of Emmanuel, who was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
