HISTORICAL FACTS OF THE CASE
Sir, we consider it very pertinent to inform this Honourable Tribunal that on 17″ December 2013, the Nigeria Police descended on our client’s commercial farm at Age-Mowo, near Badagry to commence their heartless cum wanton destruction of our client’s thriving commercial farm of about 30 years by then without any Court Order.

We equally consider it important to mention that our client’s commercial farm sprawling over 26 Acres was well fenced with concrete block and American Security wire-net on top.

The fence was about 8 feet with big farm gate house. The farm workers were over 120 (One Hundred and Twenty) men and women with their children attending schools within the locality.

It is highly inconceivable and an act of wickedness that a clearly fenced cum demarcated commercial farm could be razed down by Nigeria Police.

They simply threw caution into the cesspool of lagoon. The destruction lasted over one week.

It is equally noteworthy to mention that our client was about to start harvesting his farm produce such as fishes, pigs, cows and other things when the demolition was carried out.

The matter has been adjourned till March 31
