
An Osun State High Court has remanded the owner of Hilton Royal Hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adedoyin, and six others arrested in connection with the death of a Master’s degree student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Timothy Adegoke, in a correctional facility at Ilesha.
Justice Adepele Ojo gave the order after the arraignment of all the defendants.
The defendant were arraigned on an eleven counts charge of conspiracy, murder, altering of evidence, felony, indecent interference with the deceased’s body among others.
Adegoke, was arraigned along with Adedeji Adesola, Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem and Adebayo Kunle.

All the defendants pleaded not guilty and counsel representing them, Mr. Kunle Adegoke, SAN, and Mr. Kalejaiye Eleja, SAN, moved applications for bail for the first to sixth defendants.
Mr. Adegoke however informed the court that a formal application for bail could not be filed for the seventh defendant because she was added less than 24 hours earlier to the list.
The prosecutor, Mr. M. Omosun, opposed the bail applications.
In her ruling, Justice Adepele Ojo, adjourned till tomorrow for the defence to file and move formal bail application for the seventh defendant.
