Daily Dignity Foundation Reaffirms Commitment to Empowering Youth, Calls for Support and Voter Participation

Lagos, Nigeria — The President of Daily Dignity Foundation, Mr. Muaz Usman, has reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to discovering, mentoring, and empowering young talents across diverse sectors, describing youth development as key to building stronger communities and a stronger nation.

Speaking at a press briefing, Usman highlighted the NGO’s mission to provide platforms for hidden potential to thrive.

He noted that the Foundation’s interventions cut across music, entertainment, sports, agriculture, real estate, fashion, trade, and logistics.

“Through these ventures, we have provided opportunities, created jobs, and inspired a generation of youth to believe in the power of their own talent,” he said.

Usman cited success stories including a young artist who rose from the Foundation’s talent program to become a force in the music industry, and Mariam, a female boxer who emerged a state champion and scholarship awardee.

While acknowledging the achievements, he addressed current challenges.

He confirmed ongoing professional disagreements between one of the Foundation’s star artists, Fido, and a record label, stressing that the matter was being managed with “respect, professionalism, and ongoing dialogue.”

He also assured stakeholders that the Foundation is following up on Mariam’s delayed scholarship disbursement to ensure she receives her entitlement.

Beyond individual cases, Usman outlined the broader socio-economic impact of the Foundation’s work, pointing to youth training in agri-tech, development of local fashion brands, provision of affordable housing, and the establishment of youth-led logistics networks.

Looking ahead, the Foundation’s president called on government institutions to ensure accountability in scholarship and sponsorship programs, investors to partner in building youth-driven enterprises, and media stakeholders to amplify stories of African resilience and creativity.

“The road ahead is clear: we will continue to mentor, invest, and advocate for the youth. We will bridge the gap between raw talent and global opportunity,” Usman declared.

Also speaking, the Assistant Director of the Foundation, Mr. Quadri Aleshinloye, urged young people to take their civic responsibilities seriously by turning out en masse to participate in the ongoing voters’ registration exercise.

According to him, political participation is a critical step for youth to shape the policies and leadership that directly affect their future.

“If we want a society that truly reflects the energy and aspirations of our youth, then we must show up where it matters most — the ballot,” Aleshinloye said.

The Foundation also appealed to well-meaning Nigerians and partners to support its initiatives through donations. Contributions can be made to:
