Two Land In Kirikiri For Alleged Robbery

A Special Offences Court in Ikeja has ordered the remand of an armed robbery suspects, Abdulrasaq Otegbeye and Sodiq Osho in Correctional facility pending hearing of their bail applications.

Justice Mojisola Dada gave the order following their arraignment by the State on four count charge which borders on robbery.

Arraigning the defendants, the state counsel, Ms Afolake Onayinka informed the court that defendants armed with dangerous weapon on June 19, 2019 at Macus road, Alagbado area committed the alleged robbery.

Ms Onayinka said the offence is contrary to Section 299 of the Criminal Law, Ch. C17. Vol 3, laws of Lagos State 2015, as she prayed for the plea of the suspects to be taken.

Abdulrasaq Otegbeye pleaded not guilty to all the four charges while Sodiq Osho also pleaded not guilty to three counts charges levelled against him.

Following their plea, a counsel from Office of Public Defender, Ms Anthonia Onayinka pray for short adjourned date to enable her prepared their bail applications.

Subsequently, the court granted her prayer and adjourned till January 20, for commencement of trial.
